This one-of-a-kind ring inspired by the humble but mighty gourd is made with; Silver with Black Rhodium and pave set Thai Rubies. Calabashes are voluptuous vessels made from gourds. Gourds have multiple uses including; serving dishes for food and beverages, butter making, and musical instruments. They also serve as containers for spiritual and magical substances. Well-used/loved broken calabashes are often stitched back together to create an even more beautiful vessel with character. For me, this notion of making something that has been broken or shattered more beautiful extends beyond objects, it also applies to the human mind, body, spirit, and soul.
